Mid-week Notes..

Thank Pioli for the depth he has accumulated at Cornerback. Evidently, Poole and Scott have not practiced yet this week with undisclosed injuries. That leaves Gay and Samuel to start and we may finally get to see Starks for the first time this week.

Watch for the Patriots to exploit these two Carolina weaknesses from week 1. First, rookie safety Thomas Davis who tried to cover TE Ernie Conwell. Conwell had 6 catches for 71yds. Conwell is not nearly the threat that Watson/Graham provide. Second, the Saints LT made the first start of his career last week. Watch for blitzes to come from Delhomme's blind side.

Rodney Bailey has signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

Troy Brown was seen on the Marshall sideline during their Saturday game.

Vince Wilfork's interception has been officially changed to a fumble recovery.

14 Patriots that started SB38 are expected to play Sunday
13 Panthers that started SB 38 are expected to play Sunday

Panthers DT Kris Jenkins tore his ACL in the opener and will miss his second straight season.

ESPN's week 2 power rankings came out and the Patriots remain #1 with the Colts #2.
