Greetings from the golf course.

Since I will be in Orlando on a business trip, I won't be able to post until at least Thursday. Feel free to post your comments on the game.

All I have to say is "HOLY SH!T WHAT A GAME!!!" I had three heart attacks and two strokes watching that slugfest.

Lets start off with the 2 main guys everybody was talking about before the game. LT and Merry-man.

LT was held to 5.3yds/attempt. That seems a little high for the yds/attempt ranking I was spouting last week. LT even had one of his highest production receiving days of the entire season thanks to that screen pass for 58yds. Luckily, most of this came in the first half, and only amounted to 14 total points. One of the biggest accomplishments the Pats D had, was containment. They contained LT and made him run up the middle. He had to WORK for it all day. I think if he didn't have some of those runs to the outside for big gains, those yds/attempt numbers would be WAY down. Every time LT went up the gut, he was shut down to 3-4yds. Even on the big plays to the side, he was still shut down to 11 or so yards. A far cry from his typical long touchdown runs.

Shawn "the juicer" Merriman. Where the Faulk was he? He was able to beat Kaczur a bit in the first quarter, but he and Light stepped it up BIG TIME. He was taken completely out of the game, and even saw the locker room at one point for an injury.

The Goods
O-line kicked ass. No other way to put it. Brady had tons of time to throw the ball throughout most of the game. He was rushed a bit and had pressure, but for a good majority of the game, he was well protected. The only play that sticks out in my mind is when one of the bolts timed the snap PERFECTLY, and came in untouched. Brady showed good poise in the pocket, and when the O-line was bent, he knew exactly what to do.

Todd Sauerbrun. Without his amazing punts yesterday, we wouldn't have been able to give our D the proper field position to hold them back. I think he and the special teams were a big part of this win. That Thomas recovery on the dropped punt was HUGE.

Gaffney, Caldwell, Brown. As soon as the drive ending the first half took place, I knew we could do it. I started having my doubts up until that play. But at that point, we had just proven we can march the ball downfield, we were slightly behind, and we were getting the ball back. BRING IT ON!! You can't leave out Brown for that stripped ball.

The bolts D and their hot-headedness. Pats going for it on 4th down, Brady goes down and they get an unnecessary roughness call not only giving us the ball, but advancing us 15yds. THANKS GUYS!

Steven "Adam-who?" Gostkowski. That Polak has my vote any day of the week.

There were so many "goods" in this game, it's tough to name them all.

The Bads
Tom Brady's interceptions and under-throwing. What the hell was going on here. Some of those INT's were just too familiar of last year's Denver game. I don't know if it was all Brady or part TB/receivers. All I know is that we better not see that next week.

Ellis Hobbs. He had a few big plays were he was so far off the guy it was ridiculous.

Ben Watson. Take him out and put in Dave Thomas. I'm still not impressed by his performance lately.

Luckily I don't think there were a ton of bad points to this game. This is a great boost and Indy is going to get rocked next week.

We should also give honorable mention to Marty "i suck at life" Shottenheimer. WTF was with that challenge? I understand grasping for straws, but damn dude. Even my girlfriend didn't understand why you challenged that.

Sunday was just more proof of why BB is a savior and why I pray to the house that Kraft built. You can have all the talent in the world, but if it's not coached right, it's not going to matter.

I don't think Tom could have said it better himself! All I know is that I woke up today with a hangover type headache and I didn't get drunk. This is the type of game that Champions win. Maybe not their best performance, but they got it done in the end. Huge props to the "D" for keeping us in the game and coming up with the timely turnovers. Even bigger props go out to T. Brown. What would we do without him? I can't even imagine life without T. Brown, this guy is a Patriot through and though. My 2 duds for the game....Brady (what the hell is wrong with him??) I know he the big plays when it mattered, but 3 int's?? They weren't the cheap deflected-off-the-receiver-type either. They were just poorly thrown balls. Not to mention there was no emotion from him at all!? Dud #2 See-more-money. Every time I saw him , he was waving at LT as he ran by him. He was man handled in SINGLE coverage all day....and he's the only Pats Pro-Bowler!??? He was a joke. Lets hope Brady can pull his head up from below and play the way we all know he is capable of.
This is going to be a loooong week.

GO PATS

I think Brady's shoulder is hurting more than he's letting on, but that's just me. With those underthrown balls, it seems like he doesn't have zip all the time. He has it occasionally, but less than we're used to.

T Brown is THE MAN.

The Chargers simply choked. It was fantastic to see.

Now that his season's over, do you think Shawne will finally come out and tell us what he's been wanting to say? Between that saucy little number he worse last week during his interview on the Jets/Pats game, and having "Lights Out" shaved into his hair last night, I don't think there's any doubters left. He and Richard Simmons could have a joint press conference ;-)

(yes that was classless taunting)

Agreed, See-more-money really needs to earn his paycheck.

Not only did the Chargers choke, but they revealed how immature of a team they really are. There were MANY bad SD decisions, both on the field, and on the sideline. They came into this game thinking they had already won, and you can't do that. Nice prep job Marty.

There's a video on youtube showing the juicer at a pre-game rally. He talks about punching Brady in the face. Real classy.
