Law to the Jets

In a move that surprised no one, division rivals signed the oft-injured cornerback Ty Law. I hope they don't think he's their ticket to a division championship or a superbowl trip. Ty Law is/was one of the best if not THE best CB in the league since about the 1998 season. IF he stays healthy he will be an upgrade over a rookie draft pick for the Jets. As we all know in New England though, one player does not make a team. Isn't that right Lawyer Milloy, Drew Bledsoe, Damian Woody, Ted Washington, Tebucky Jones, etc etc.

Ty will be great for the Jets vs teams with only one wideout, for example Chris Chambers in Miami or Mushin Muhamid with 'da beers'. He really won't make much of a difference against the Pats because he probably can't stop a guy like Branch, who's too quick. Law might be able to 'shutdown' Terrell or Brown and I'm sure the Pats will concede that and know they can still win. I can't wait for the 2 Jets games, the hype will be off the charts.

Thank you Ty Law for your 10 years of service, the probowls, the superbowls and good luck with the Jets - you're going to need it. No one knows your tendancies better than Belichick.
