We've all watched the epic battles before, nine of them to be exact. Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning. The Pats always had their way with the Colts and it seems like that's not the only thing that's changed over the years.
The Pats always USED to beat the Colts.
The Colts have won the last three meetings.
The Colts USED to get all the attention for setting records and possibly going undefeated (remember 13-0?) while the Pats flew under the radar.
The Pats are shattering records and all anyone's talking about is them going undefeated, while the Colts have quietly gone about their business - undefeated.
USED to be that only Tom Brady wins big games.
Manning won his superbowl.
Tom Brady never USED to have the weapons to match Manning's.
Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Watson, Maroney, Faulk, Morris, Gaffney.
Manning never USED to have a good defense.
Indy's 4th ranked D is giving up the fewest yds/game through the air and Bob Sanders is the best defensive player in the NFL (in my opinion).
Perception USED to be the Pats did things the right way with good guys.
Sunday's game has been billed as good vs. evil and the Pats aren't the ones with halo's painted over their heads.
Used to be only the Colts had all big money players.
Brady, Seymour, Thomas, Colvin, Stallworth, Samuel.
I used to hate Peyton Manning, Bill Polian and the whiney Colts.
I still do. SOME things will never change.
